1 - Annabelle N: Inside Out Voices

JOY - Uncle Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Uncle Iroh would play my representation of joy because he is usually at peace, and is more worried about when he’s going to drink his next cup of tea rather than all of the problems going on around him. Then again, he’s more aware of his surroundings than one might think, but he feels enough in control and is always one step ahead, allowing him time to relax and crack jokes instead of stressing out. Sometimes I’m like Uncle Iroh because he knows deep down that he is capable and can deal with the problems ahead, and I also like to drink tea to soothe myself.

SADNESS - Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh)

Eeyore would play my representation of sadness because he’s always depressed and looking on the negative side, especially when his tail falls off. Sometimes I’m like Eeyore because I can become so anxious about something that I become depressed and no one can talk me out of it, just like how none of the other stuffed animals can talk Eeyore out of being down all of the time, even though he has a good life.

FEAR - C-3PO (StarWars)

C-3PO would play my representation of fear because he’s a very anxious character who is easily

frightened, confused, and offended by rude people. He is always crying out with fear and isn’t useful

in dangerous situations, and the other characters are often annoyed by his uselessness. Sometimes

I’m like C-3PO because even though he’s easily frightened, when he gets scared and frustrated he is

actually very sassy to the people around him (especially to R2-D2), and he would rather run away

than be helpful to people who are rude.

ANGER - Gorden Ramsey

Gordon Ramsey would play my representation of anger because he’s easily disappointed by the restaurants he visits, so much so that when the cooks won’t listen to him he simply starts yelling and screaming at everyone responsible for the food. But despite how harsh he is with the cooks, he’s very polite to the waiters and waitresses, and anyone else who isn’t responsible for the low-quality food. Sometimes I’m like Gordon Ramsey because he is a perfectionist who gets frustrated when he sees something that can be improved, to the point that it actually makes him angry.

DISGUST - Fairy Godmother (Shrek 2)

Fairy Godmother would play my representation of disgust because she’s a villain who is disgusted by people when she doesn’t get her way, and she knows she’s too fabulous to be treated like less than what she thinks she deserves. She seems like she has high standards and expectations, and she’s not willing to accept something beneath her. Sometimes I’m like Fairy Godmother because even though I’m not a villain, I’m sometimes disgusted when I feel like I’m not being respected, and sometimes I can get frustrated when I feel like I did a good job and then I was told otherwise.

  1. I absolutely love how you chose Uncle Iroh as your Joy! I love Avatar: The Last Airbender so much, so just seeing him pop up on my screen gave me instant serotonin. It was a great choice too since he is relaxed and joyful all the time. Reading through your blog, I really enjoyed your reasoning on why you chose these characters. I can actually relate a lot especially with how you experience disgust and sadness. Overall, good job Annabelle, it was a great insight on your emotions. :)

  2. Annabelle I loved scrolling down to the bottom and seeing the fairy godmother from Shrek as discussed. It made me laugh because yes she is fabulous and deserves nothing less. I also liked that you did C-3PO for fear. He is a funny character that is sassy and easily frightened. You did a great job with this blog post and I enjoyed reading it!
