JOY-John lennon
Throughout John Lennon's career, independently and within the Beatles, he has always had a voice for peace and happiness. A very famous anti-war anthem for those who supported his movement was “Give Peace a Chance” produced by himself and partner, Yoko Ono. Along with “Give Peace a Chance” He also produced “Happy Xmas(War is Over)” with Yoko Ono and “Imagine” by himself. Among many other songs he produced advocating for peace, he was a very big protestor of the Vietnam war specifically. These traits about Lennon have led me to choose him since he is such a calm and generally happy person although can be distrurbed by conflict, but overall joyus.
SADNESS-Kurt Cobain
Going into Kurt Cobain's career, he had had a Bi-Polar diagnosis from his youth and continuing into his career produced the song “lithium” describing the sadness he felt after a loss of a lover in his life. Lithium is a prescription drug used to treat Bi-Polar disorder similar to Cobain’s diagnosis. Cobain would be my representation for sadness since he has always struggled with mental illness, speaking out on such issues with songs and lyrics. Yet unfortunately passing away due to a suidice in 1994 caused by mental health/depression.
FEAR-Scooby Doo
Scooby Doo is a fictional dog from the original show “Scooby-Doo Where Are You!” featuring this friend group with their dog-Scooby Doo. Within these episodes, Scooby Doo and the group known as the “Mystery Gang” are working together to solve mysteries and find criminals. A common running joke seen is the timidness of Scooby and best friend Shaggy. These two are the classic pair who hide together when frightened, but Scooby is more anxious than Shaggy. Shaggy is a human being who has more ability to protect Scooby Doo rather than Scooby protect Shaggy. Oftentimes you can see him shaking, being comforted in Shaggy's arms while running from the enemy while he’s scared.
ANGER-Chris Brown
Chris Brown is a popular Rap/R&B singer who throughout his career has had many reports of anger management issues. One of the biggest scandals Brown has been accused of is domestic abuse towards ex partner, Robyn “Rhianna” Fenty. Along with his domestic abuse accusations, there are also reports of Brown abusing his staff, friends, and even narcotics. Holding this past of untamed anger issues, Brown’s career has definitely reached a downfall increasing his frustrations with a smaller outlet. Overall making him an angry person, leading me to choose him as my representative of anger.
DISGUST-Gaston
Gaston is a fictional character from the animated movie, “Beauty and the Beast”. His role in this movie is of a very confident man who finds pleasure in very masculine things such as hunting, working, etc. He takes an interest in the protagonist, Belle even though there are many other wanting women who would take care of him the way Belle has no desire to. Throughout this movie, Gaston grows to become very jealous of Belle's new love interest and finds disgust in any other topic that isn't the fantasy of him and Belle together. He is a very vain, judgemental character who can be quite self absorbed and disgusted by anything else.
