I don’t know if im the first to say this but amusement parks are so overrated. The disappointment you get after waiting in a real long line only for the ride to last 30 seconds is a different type of hurt because it really makes you look back and think “wow i really waited for this?”. Long lines personally dont bother me because I can always find a way to distract myself to make time go by faster. I have a lot of patience but when it comes to amusement park rides (universal studios to be specific) i go on a next level on insane.
It’s not just the really long line that infuriates me but its the people in the line. Obviously amusement parks are gonna be full of kids and toddlers, but hearing them cry and whine all the time in the line really makes me wana rip my hair out. Hearing and seeing the commotion they make feels like an itch you can’t reach, its so aggravating to the point where calming yourself doesn’t even work.
It’s not only the kids that are the problem, its the grown couples who are glued to each other all the time and have no sense of whats going on around them. They have all the time to do that together but seriously? Can it be anywhere but the line? I just want to go on a ride without reminding myself how lonely I am. I’m not hating on them though because they are cute, but they could at least do something else, like play patty cake maybe?

ReplyDeleteI definitely understand your struggles and your reasons for hating amusements parks, but I actually don’t agree with you. Yes, the lines for amusements parks are extremely long sometimes, but the experience, for me, is worth it. But, also you were talking about Universal Studios which I don’t know if those lines are really worth it as someone who gets motion sick from the majority of the rides there. If we’re talking about Disneyland though, the wait times are worth it. You talking about couples and little kids was relatable for me. Sometimes the little kids at amusement parks are so annoying, but the adults can be a hundred times more annoying that their children for no reason. Anyways, this was a really good post!
