The Art Of Music

You could say that music has a place in everyones heart, regardless of the age or gender, music will always find a way to us. When it comes to music, personally i look into a more deeper context of it. It’s like a place I can go to the second I put my headphones in, countless scenarios and imaginations running wild. There’s a reason why we feel a special type of way when it comes to songs that we love. As you may know it, your body is made up of 60% water. This correlates how? 2 or 3 years ago to be exact, I found out that water and music flow really well with each other. Certain songs can either disrupt the flow of your water or move along with it, like rushing rivers or calm waters ,it just all depends on your song choice and how you enjoy it. Water is a sound source in and of itself, and even a single water drop can have a significant musical impact.
Not only does the flow of your water relate to the likeliness of your taste of music but your spiritual connection towards it. Crazy as it sounds, certain vibrations could send signals to your brain, making you feel more into the song. Lets take Jhene aiko for an example, she uses sound bowls in her songs to help you feel more relaxed to her music. Shes a great artist because she reaches out to those in need for healing

When it comes to music type, genres dont really matter to me as much. I wouldn’t really care if I listened to songs that other people might disagree on listening to. Sticking to one genre for the rest of your life is somewhat boring because there are other genres out there with really good songs. Biggest recommendation to the music lovers out there is to expand your music taste
Hi Megan!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you. As a composer and musician, I agree that certain sounds and tones we hear inflict certain emotions. For example, a harp is seen as angelic and soothing and a trumpet is seen as happy, energetic, and loud. Using these tricks and more allows composers to get their listeners to feel just about anything. This is what makes music so cool and enjoyable. Not only this, music is a way to communicate when there is a language barrier or words aren’t enough. Because the music and the instruments can convey emotions alone, it is easy for an instrumental alone to carry an amazing amount of emotion or for people with a language barrier to bond over a song through its emotion and not the lyrics. This was a really good response!
