They tell you to go to your happy place when you're upset. Think positive thoughts.Be happy! Just breathe. Music is the one thing that holds the soul. It's what brings you to another world to forget the one you live in. Music blocks out surrounding noise to let your imagination run. Music tells a story in a way that's indescribable but everyone understands it. It's like a short movie that you listen to and use your imagination to create the story in your head.
If you were to ask someone what their favorite type of music is you would be able to tell what type of person they are. You listen to music like it’s your identity. It’s part of you and you're proud of it. Music is powerful and it can make you feel all sorts of different emotions. Music also gives you the urge to dance, start humming, taping your feet to the beat, and to start singing along.
Everyone likes music. It puts you in a good mood and gets your mind off the stressful things in life. A world without music would be sad and full of hate. There wouldn’t be manythings to put you in a good mood. Imagine walking into Disneyland and not hearing a single tune or if you were watching a movie with a slow motion chase scene. There would be no music, just the background noise of people yelling. Just imagine that for a second, hard right a world without music. Everyone has grown up with some sort of music. Music goes generations back and for a good reason to make people happy. It brings you to your happy place.

I have to agree with you that a world without music would be a lot worse than our world full of music - music has such a huge impact on the entire world. ReplyDeleteI love your post about music. It is so relatable and you wrote so well. I love your example about Disneyland because whenever I go I always hear something from one of the numerous performances throughout the park. Even if it isn’t music made by the park all the joy is music in itself. It’s like watching a star wars film and not hearing the theme song. Music is powerful and just makes up so much of our lives in a positive way. If it’s for entertainment, an escape, or just something to fill the quiet space, music is powerful. Great work!
Hi Isabella! I definitely agree with you. Music is an escape and tells a story. As a composer, I love creating stories through music. There’s just something so amazing about putting notes on a page as the story builds itself around you. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteThe part that you talked about Disneyland without music made me think of those videos online that are generally titled “___ without background music” where they remove music from movie scenes. They’re so awkward and uncomfortable. An action scene without the action music is not as intense because the music provides the emotions same as any other scene in a movie. Your post was amazing!
