Although handwritten cards and messages aren’t used very often today, they will always have a special value over typed messages.
Since a lot of people these days don’t send handwritten letters and cards today, it is special. Doing this means that someone took time out of their day to either purchase a card or make a card to write a sweet message in. The message doesn’t even have to be a long and detailed description of how special the person is, just taking the time to write a special card shows how important they are. A message on a phone will get lost in the sea of other messages almost identical to it. A handwritten card is physical and you can keep it in a drawer to look back on when you miss your family or friends.
As someone who has a lot of meaningful cards and a dedicated card drawer, I think that handwritten cards and messages still have a large value in this digital age.
